The center was started by a group of diving enthusiasts who wanted to highlight the beauty of the island’s underwater landscapes, including colorful coral reefs, thriving marine life, and intriguing wrecks. Our dive shop is conveniently located at the picturesque Port Elizabeth harbor, just steps away from the shimmering turquoise waters. With easy access to more than 20 dive sites around Bequia, Dive Bequia offers something for everyone, from shallow coral gardens ideal for beginners to deeper sites teeming with barracuda, turtles, and rays.

Let’s introduce you to some of the friendly faces you’ll meet when you visit us:

Cathy, Owner & Lead Instructor
With 27 years of experience, Cathy is a SSI and PADI-certified instructor who has been sharing their love for diving since 1995. Known for her infectious enthusiasm and expert guidance, Cathy ensures that every diver feels safe, confident, and excited to explore Bequia’s underwater treasures.

Kevique, Boat Captain
Born and raised on Bequia, Kevique knows these waters like the back of his hand. Whether navigating to hidden dive sites or sharing local legends, Kevique adds a personal touch to every dive trip.

Kalle, Divemaster
Passionate about marine conservation and education, Kalle leads dives with a keen eye for spotting elusive sea creatures and sharing fascinating facts about the reef ecosystem. Known for his positivity and great sense of humor, Kalle is highly regarded by our guests. His unique specialty is ice swimming, a tradition rooted in his heritage as a native of Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland.

Chelle, SSI Divemaster Instructor & PADI MSDT 
Chelle originally from Manchester, England is an avid globetrotter having travelled to close to 100 countries many of which were by herself. She brings years of expertise as an SSI and PADI instructor. Her patient and encouraging teaching style makes her a favourite among students, whether you’re learning to dive or wanting to advance your skills. Chelle’s dedication to safety and her love for sharing underwater adventures shine through in every course she teaches. 

Triston, Instructor & Boat Crew
Triston wears many hats at Dive Bequia, working both as an instructor and as a key member of the boat crew when needed. His deep knowledge of Bequia’s dive sites and easy-going nature make him a valuable part of the team. Whether guiding dives or helping on deck, Triston ensures every trip runs smoothly and safely.

Max, PADI Instructor
Max joined us in 2016 as a trainee boat driver having never dived before. He quickly went on to become a super Divemaster with a special knack for finding seahorses. Max qualified as a PADI instructor in 2019 and holds a lionfish management specialty.

Tanja, Executive MBA, Office & Marketing
A passionate diver herself, Tanja is the friendly face behind the desk and the creative mind driving Dive Bequia’s marketing efforts. She’s always ready to help guests plan their perfect dive experience and keeps the operation running seamlessly. Tanja’s enthusiasm for diving and her love for the ocean are evident in everything she does.
