In June 2022 Dive Bequia collaborated with Reef Renewal to establish a coral nursery at Devils Table. We received funding from the SVG Conservation Fund, a group committed to supporting the conservation and preservation of St Vincent and the Grenadines flora and fauna. 

Over the course of the next two years we will be maintaining the nursery, out planting to the reef and monitoring the health of the fragments in the nursery. Looking ahead, we hope to expand the nursery to include more coral species.

Phase One

During phase one we collected coral fragments from ten areas located on the leeward side of Bequia

Maintenance

Once the nursery is established maintenance of the coral fragments begins. Weekly cleaning sessions are scheduled. VOLUNTEER TO ASSIST WITH CORAL CLEANING HERE

Out-Planting

The corals are growing well and we are on track to start out-planting to the reef in late April or May 2023. 
Devils Table will be the primary site to repopulate with Elkhorn
